Founded in 2015 by Ghislain Clerc, the Brand emerged from an exploration of streetwear, sportswear, and avant-garde aesthetics, developing a distinct approach to contemporary dressing. When Ana Clerc joined the label in 2020, the designer duo began shaping the label’s creative direction together, building on its original language while broadening its perspective and possibilities.
In 2026, this ongoing evolution led to the opening of CLERC’s first physical space at the Kaiserhaus OF GOODS in Bern. The new setting created an opportunity for a more personal approach to dressing and marked the beginning of a deeper engagement with made-to-measure and bespoke tailoring. Rather than representing a departure from the label’s origins, this expansion extends the principles that have guided CLERC from the beginning, allowing its design language to develop across new forms, disciplines, and expressions.
CLERC offers a bespoke and made to measure tailoring service, guiding each client from the initial consultation to the final piece.
From the first sketch to the last fitting, you work with a fashion studio that considers the entire garment from its proportions and construction, finding satisfaction in the finest details.
The process begins with a conversation to understand the client's needs, preferences, and intended use of the garment. Clients are invited to explore an extensive selection of exceptional materials sourced from Europe's finest mills. From distinctive textures to refined finishes, each fabric offers different possibilities in weight, structure, and character.
Once the measurements are taken, design language and codes of classical tailoring either go hand in hand or are cleverly played against each other when necessary. Details such as cut, proportions and construction are discussed to define the piece.
Throughout the whole process fittings and adjustments ensure a precise result. Every element is considered in collaboration with the client, creating a garment designed and tailored to their individual requirements.
